Ramal Vineyard Syrah
Syrah in Carneros? Twenty years ago few would have suspected that this Rhone Valley native would show so beautifully in one of California’s coolest growing regions. Grapes for this release come from our Ramal Vineyard in Carneros. Each lot is cold soaked for up to five days to maximize color and flavor extraction. After a two-week maceration, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 15 months. This beautiful Estate grown wine offers the intense blackberry, earth and roasted meat flavors typical of cool-climate Syrah.
