Ramal Vineyard Merlot

Our 564-acre Ramal Vineyard Estate includes 75 acres of Merlot. With blocks planted in a variety of exposures and soil type – all on the warmer, more inland hillsides of the region – winemaker Jeff Stewart can draw from a rich palette of flavors. In the extended, even growing season of Carneros, Merlot develops seductive aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry, with intriguing dried herb, mocha, soy and anise notes. In the mouth, it shows concentrated black cherry and spice, with hints of green tea and tobacco, finishing with soft, round tannins.
